After completing his post-graduate in Account Management and Media in 1996, Nkululeko worked for the FCB Group of advertising agencies from 1997 to 2000. During his spell at FCB he was tasked with managing the marketing imperatives of clients in diverse industries which included telecommunications. He joined Vodacom in 2000 as Brand Manager and in 2001 was appointed to Vodacom International's commercial division which saw him being seconded to the newly established Vodacom Congo as Executive Head of Marketing. On his return from the Congo assignment, Nkululeko was appointed Marketing and Sales Director and sat on the board of Vodacom Lesotho before founding Sandulela Telecom International (Pty) Ltd in 2003.
Chief Financial Officer
Former partner of BDO Spencer Stewart. In 1980, he joined Quantum Leasing, a company involved in structured finance transactions. The company was sold to Trust Bank in 1986 and he remained on as a consultant. He then joined Equikor Ltd in 1990, a company involved in property development and resigned in 1994 to continue as an independent property and financial consultant. He was associated with the Peregrine group from 1994 and became involved on a full-time basis on the structured finance side in 1997. In 2003 he joined Sandulela. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (UCT) C. A. (SA).
Managing Director - Ice Cloud (Pty) Ltd
A graduate of Van Zyl & Pritchard in 1980, Jonathan worked for GMS for 2 years before moving to Gibraltar and starting an ICL traderpoint dealership and software house. In 1990, having completed an electronics diploma in the UK, he took over running Van Zyl & Pritchard in South Africa and concurrently completed a B. Com through UNISA. During the next 7 years, under Jonathan's direction the company turnover grew by a factor of more than 20 and expanded to 5 offices employing in excess of 150 people. The services offered by the company extended to providing SAP consulting services and SAP technical training on behalf of SAP in more than 10 countries. In 2003 during the BETA test of MTN GPRS, Jonathan developed and launched Ice-Cloud, an end to end virtual product logistics system integrating GPRS, web, thin client and ASP technologies. He lives in Johannesburg, is an active sportsman having competed in Comrades, Duzi, Iron man, 2 Oceans etc.
General Manager - Sandulela Telecommunications (Lesotho) (Pty) Ltd
Edgar's work experience started with the Government of Lesotho at the Ministry Of Finance in the Department Of Bureau Of Statistics and Department Of Customs and Excise from March of 1971 to August 1976 and again in 1981 after completing his studies at the National University of Lesotho. He joined the private sector in 1982 as Sales Manager with Lesotho Brewing Company a time which saw him undergo intensive training in sales related studies at Wits Business School. He served on the Board of Directors of Lesotho Tourist Board during his tenure as its General Manger and in 1995 Edgar joined Frasers Lesotho as their Regional Manager until 2000. After a two year stint at the Lesotho Flour Mills, he was recruited to join Vodacom Lesotho in 2002 to serve as Marketing Manager. It was during his time at Vodacom Lesotho that he met with Nkululeko Mvulana who, having established Sandulela in Lesotho in 2004 prevailed on Edgar to serve as its founding General Manager. Edgar holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting.
General Manager - Sandulela Telecom Botswana (Pty) Ltd
An IT graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Percy joined Garona Communications as General Manager in 1999 where he won Best Business Man Award in 2001 for his work in the provision of a fast and effective business solution which saw the company sell GSM mobile phones to students and government departments, therefore acquiring a 25 000 subscriber client base for Mascom within a three month period. Subsequently and still in telecom, Percy joined Fones 4 U in 2003 as a Business Development Director focused on the payphone market. He became Managing Director in 2003 and subsequently resigned to set-up his own business. It was during his spell as entrepreneur that Percy came into contact with Nkululeko Mvulana and was instrumental in setting up the local subsidiary, Sandulela Telecom Botswana (Pty) Ltd of which he General Manager and shareholder.
After completion of his articles with Greenwoods in 1985, he completed his compulsory National Service by serving 4 years in the Receiver of Revenue’s Special Investigation Section. On completion of this 4 year contract, he practised as a tax consultant, specialising in financial structuring. During 1991, he entered the field of property development on a joint venture basis with Equikor Ltd, until he joined the Peregrine group during 1993. In 2003 he joined Sandulela. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Stellenbosch) Hons B Compt (C.A.) (SA).
A natural-born entrepreneur, Nicholas began his career at Olivetti S.A. as a Sales Manager in the Consumables Division. After leaving Olivetti, he joined Canon SA as a Marketing and Consumables Manager and grew sales by 500% in just 18 months of operation. Nick left Canon and founded the Consumables Company of MB Technologies, Tarsus Consumables. Tarsus is the largest distributor of IT equipment in Africa with brands such as HP, IBM and Compaq. His many successes were recognised by Dimension Data Interactive, the telecommunications and call centre division of Didata, where Nic filled the role of National Sales Director with 47 sales consultants nationally. DiData's venture capital arm Protocol acquired Shift Interactive Communications, a touch screen technology development business, and Nic moved across to Shift as a Director to drive sales and marketing. Nic's technical background in Call Centre Operations and telecoms combined with his extensive Sales Management experience and creative "hands on management style" further entrenches his ability to deliver a high level of specialised professional sales, collections and telecoms consulting. Whilst playing a crucial strategic advisory role at Sandulela, Nick founded and is Managing Director of Fastart Solutions focusing on contact centre training specializing in collections. Standard Bank, FNB, Barclays, Raffsissen in Austria are some of the blue-chip clients of Fastart Solutions. Nick is also the founder of Hushh Rejuvenation Stations.
